Ingredients

1 1/2 c. flour, sifted
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. shortening
1 egg, well beaten
1 c. ripe bananas
1 3/4 c. quick oats
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation

Sift all dry ingredients together in a large mixing bowl.
Add shortening, egg, banana and vanilla.
Mix well.
Add walnuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 12 minutes.
