Fan Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 baking potatoes
    3 Tbsp. water
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 Tbsp. chives
    1 tsp. basil
    1/4 tsp. tarragon
    1/4 tsp. black pepper
    Salt to taste (optional)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 425\u00b0.
    Lightly oil a baking dish big enough to hold the potatoes.
    Make several slices 1/4 inch apart lengthwise along potato, stopping 1/4 inch from bottom (a wooden spoon on the cutting board will prevent cutting through the potato).
    Heat remaining ingredients until butter melts; brush mixture over potatoes and bake for 1 hour basting every 15 minutes with pan liquid.
