Tongue Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. ripe cucumbers
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. ground ginger
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 1/2 lb. brown sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    2 c. white sugar
    2 c. white vinegar
Preparation
    Peel cukes and cut in small pieces.
    Be sure the seeds are removed.
    Place in enamel pot.
    Put spices in a cloth bag and add sugar, salt, vinegar and spices.
    Cook until tender and let set overnight.
    Heat and can.
