Tea Cakes - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. butter, softened
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add 1 egg; mix well, then add the other egg.
Mix well.
Add flour slowly; mix as you go.
Add vanilla flavoring and nuts.
Mixture should be stiff. Roll mixture out on waxed paper with a floured rolling pin cut with cookie cutters and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
Makes 36 cookies.
