Toffee Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 sticks butter or margarine
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
6 oz. chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Preparation

Blend butter, sugar, egg yolk and vanilla.
Add flour and salt. Blend well.
Pat mixture into the bottom of a greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for approximately 25 minutes.
Mixture will be soft, but lightly browned.
