Penne - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 medium onion, finely chopped
    2 Tbsp. butter
    3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1/2 lb. bacon, cubed and cooked
    1 1/2 c. canned Italian tomatoes
    1/2 to 1 small dried red hot pepper, chopped fine
    salt to taste (about 1 1/2 tsp.)
    1 lb. penne (hollow, thick spaghetti)
    3 Tbsp. fresh grated Parmesan cheese
    1 Tbsp. fresh grated Romano cheese
Preparation
    Cook bacon (soft).
    Set aside.
    Saute onions until pale gold. Combine with bacon.
    Saute 1 minute.
    (Use bacon grease.)
    Add tomatoes, pepper and salt.
    Set aside.
