Overnight Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. sliced cucumbers with skin
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. cider vinegar
    1 onion, sliced thin (optional 1 to 2)
    2 Tbsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
Preparation
    Heat sugar, vinegar, salt and seed until sugar is melted. Pour over cucumbers and onion in a large bowl.
    Cover and put in refrigerator overnight.
    Put in jars next day.
    These will store well for months if kept in the refrigerator.
