Pumpkin Patter Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pound cake (sliced in 1/4-inch slices)
    1 can pumpkin (beaten until smooth)
    1 jar apricot jam
    1 c. vanilla pudding
    pecans, chopped fine
    whipped cream (optional)
Preparation
    Place slice of cake, layer with thin layer of apricot jam first, then layer of pumpkin, whipped cream, then vanilla pudding. Add second layer of pound cake.
    Press top layer of cake down gently.
    Run a layer of whipped cream down the middle of the top of the cake.
    Sprinkle with pecans, chopped finely.
