Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. extra lean ground beef
2 c. onions, finely chopped
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. dried basil
6 oz. tomato paste
1/8 tsp. crushed red pepper
2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. dried oregano
10 oz. tomato puree
28 oz. Italian tomatoes
Preparation

Over medium heat, saute crumbled ground beef, onion, and garlic, stirring frequently.
When meat is browned, drain off any fat.
Add sugar, salt, basil, oregano, and crushed red pepper. Mix well.
Add tomatoes (cut up), tomato paste, and puree.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat.
Simmer, covered, stirring occasionally until thickened (1 1/2 to 2 hours).
