Machanka For Christmas Eve Mushroom Barley Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. sauerkraut juice
salt and pepper to taste
2 Tbsp. oil or margarine
2 Tbsp. flour
1 Tbsp. chopped onion
1 c. chopped mushrooms, podpinkies
1/4 c. barley
1/2 c. tomato juice
1 clove chopped garlic
1 c. cold water
Preparation
-
Bring 4 cups water to a boil; add barley.
Cook together until barley is done, stirring often and adding water when needed.
Add sauerkraut juice.
