Sweet Sour Spareribs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 turnips
    1/2 c. carrots
    1 lb. spareribs
    2 Tbsp. shoyu sauce
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. ginger, finely chopped
    1/4 c. cornstarch
    2 c. peanut oil
    1/2 c. vinegar
    3/4 c. water
    3/4 c. sugar
Preparation
    Cut turnips and carrots into very thin slices.
    Add 1/3 tablespoon salt and mix well.
    Let stand 30 minutes, then press excess liquid out.
    Add 1/4 cup water and 2 tablespoons vinegar and allow them to stand for 30 minutes.
