Butternut Cake With Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. cake flour
    2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. butternut flavoring
    1 c. milk
    4 eggs
    1 c. shortening or oleo
    1/2 c. self-rising flour
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar for 2 minutes at high speed.
    Add flour and milk alternately, adding flour last.
    Blend well.
    Put in a cold oven and bake 1 hour at 325\u00b0, then bake for 15 to 20 minutes at 250\u00b0.
    Let cool in pan for 10 minutes.
