Cherry Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. soft shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    3/4 c. milk
    2 c. cherries, well drained
Preparation
    Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
    Add shortening, egg and milk.
    Blend in well drained cherries.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 60 minutes.
    Use a 9 x 9-inch greased pan.
