Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 Tbsp. cocoa
2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. each cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and allspice
1/2 c. Crisco
2 eggs (unbeaten)
3/4 c. raisins
1 1/2 c. applesauce
3/4 c. chopped dates
3/4 c. chopped nuts

Preparation

Sift flour, sugar, salt, cocoa and spices in mixing bowl. Drop in shortening and eggs.
Add applesauce and beat.
Add dates, raisins and nuts.
Mix thoroughly.
Bake in greased and floured pan at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
