Ingredients

1/4 lb. butter or margarine
3/4 c. sugar
1 (8 oz.) pkg. pitted dates, chopped
1 c. pecans, chopped
1 c. Rice Krispies cereal
1 tsp. vanilla
1 bag coconut flakes
Preparation

In medium size saucepan, combine butter, sugar and dates. Boil 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
Add nuts, cereal and vanilla; mix well.
Form 3 or 4 at a time into 1/2 to 3/4-inch balls.
Roll in coconut.
Continue until all of mixture is gone.
