Penny'S Punch(2-Quart) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    peel of 1/2 lemon
    1 (3-inch) cinnamon stick
    5 whole cloves
    1/2 tsp. ground allspice
    1 c. apple juice
    1/5 Burgundy wine
    1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
Preparation
    In large saucepan, dissolve sugar in water, lemon, cinnamon, cloves, allspice and apple juice.
    Cook over medium-high heat for 15 minutes.
    Add wine; heat, but do not boil.
    Sprinkle with nutmeg.
