Summer Squash Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 c. coarsely ground squash
    4 c. chopped onions
    3 Tbsp. salt
    2 or 3 c. water
    2 1/2 c. white vinegar
    5 c. sugar
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    1 tsp. turmeric
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    4 red peppers, coarsely ground and rinsed
    4 green peppers, coarsely ground and rinsed
Preparation
    Mix squash, onions and salt well and let set overnight.
    Drain in morning; rinse with water.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Mix well; cook 15 minutes.
    Seal in jars.
    Hot water bath 5 minutes.
