Banana-Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. vegetable shortening
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 large ripe bananas, mashed
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy.
    Add eggs and blend well.
    Mix flour, soda and salt; add to mixture.
    Stir in mashed bananas, walnuts and vanilla.
    Pour into a greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour or until firm.
    Cool 5 minutes; remove from pan and cool completely.
    Wrap and let stand for 24 hours.
