Barbecued Spareribs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. spareribs
    1 large onion
    1 (14 oz.) bottle catsup
    1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce
    1 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. chili powder
Preparation
    Cut spareribs into serving pieces.
    Peel and slice into thin slices.
    Lay ribs in shallow 13 x 9-inch roast pan; lay onion slices on ribs.
    Roast 30 minutes at 425\u00b0.
    Discard onion slices. In 2-quart saucepan, combine catsup, Worcestershire sauce, water, salt and chili powder; bring to boil, stirring with spoon.
    Pour 1/4 of barbecue sauce over ribs; roast 1 hour at 375\u00b0, basting ribs every 15 minutes with remaining sauce.
    Serves 8.
