3-Apple Pie With Rum Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. cider
    8 c. sliced apples (Ida red, Rome and Jonathan)
    2 Tbsp. dark rum
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. cardamom
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    pinch of salt
    1 Tbsp. butter, plus 2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    In medium saucepan over medium heat, boil the cider, uncovered, for 25 minutes or until reduced to 1 1/2 cups.
    Remove 1/4 cup and reserve the rest for sauce.
    Place apples in large saute pan and pour 1/4 cup of reduced cider and 2 tablespoons of rum over top.
    Cook, covered, for 3 to 4 minutes.
    Combine dry ingredients in small bowl.
    Mix gently into apples with rubber spatula.
