Sicilian Sausage Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. Italian sausage
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 (No. 2 1/2) can stewed tomatoes
    2 cans chicken broth
    1/4 tsp. basil
    1/4 c. orzo
    red hot peppers (optional)
Preparation
    Cook sausage (without casings) on high; add onion and cook. Add tomatoes, chicken broth and basil; bring to boil; and add orzo and salt and pepper to taste.
    Lower heat and simmer 20 minutes. Drain off any excess fat.
