Kentucky Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
    2 c. sugar
    4 egg yolks
    1 (20 oz.) crushed pineapple, drained (save juice)
    1 1/2 c. vegetable oil
    2 tsp. hot water
    1 c. chopped pecans
    4 egg whites, beaten
    1 c. coconut, shredded
Preparation
    Combine sugar, egg yolks, oil and hot water and mix well. Add flour and pineapple to creamed mixture. Fold in beaten egg whites. Add nuts and coconut. Pour into greased tube pan. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 350\u00b0. Mix 1/2 pound confectioners sugar and 1 cup pineapple juice. Pour over hot cake in pan. Turn out when cool.
