Grandmas Buttermilk Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. bacon drippings, melted
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. corn meal
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/4 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Put bacon drippings in a baking dish or skillet and let melt while oven is heating.
    Beat eggs until frothy.
    Add corn meal, salt and baking soda; stir until combined. Add buttermilk and stir well.
    Remove hot pan from oven, swirl drippings to coat pan (or skillet).
    Pour drippings into batter. Stir well, pour batter into pan and bake 25 to 30 minutes.
