Apple Dapple - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 c. self-rising flour, sifted
    1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. chopped apples
    1/2 c. pecans or walnuts
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Beat in egg.
    Stir in sifted flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla.
    Mix in apples and nuts.
    Bake in a greased 8-inch square pan
    in a 350\u00b0 oven for 45 minutes or until done.
