German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium potatoes
    6-8 slices of bacon
    3/4 c. chopped onion
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1-2 Tbsp. sugar
    1-1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. celery seed
    dash pepper
    3/4 c. water
    1/3 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Boil potatoes, peel, and slice thin.
    Fry bacon and drain. Saute onion in bacon fryings until golden brown.
    Blend in the flour, sugar, and seasonings.
    Cook until smooth and bubbly. Remove from heat.
    Stir in the water and vinegar.
    Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
    Boil one minute.
    Stir in carefully the potatoes and crumbled bacon.
    Cover.
    Let stand until ready to use.
    Makes 6-8 servings.
