Sfinge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large eggs
    1 c. water
    2 c. sifted flour
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    2 c. salad oil
    3/4 c. sugar
Preparation
    Beat eggs and water together until thoroughly blended.
    Sift dry ingredients together and stir into eggs.
    Cover and set aside in a warm place for 1 1/2 hours.
    Heat 2 cups of oil to a boil. Drop 1 tablespoon of batter at a time into the oil.
    Cook only 3 sfinge at a time, about 3 to 4 minutes.
    Drain on paper towel and roll into sugar while still hot.
    Makes 2 dozen.
