Cheese Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. water and 3 chicken bouillon cubes (equals 1 qt. chicken broth)
    3 Tbsp. oleo
    1/2 c. shredded cabbage
    1/2 c. sliced carrots
    1/2 c. sliced celery
    1/2 c. sliced onion
    1 c. diced potatoes
    8 slices American cheese or 6 oz.
Preparation
    Melt the oleo in skillet.
    Saute the cabbage, carrots, celery and onion until tender.
    Add to the chicken broth.
    Simmer for about 1 hour.
    Add the potatoes and cook until tender.
    Add the cheese and melt thoroughly.
