Bran Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 C. whole bran wheat cereal
1 C. boiling water
1/2 C. shortening
2 eggs
2 1/2 C. self rising flour
1 1/2 C. sugar
2 C. buttermilk
Preparation

Combine cereal and water. Stir in shortening and eggs. Stir in flour. Add remaining ingredients and blend. Spoon batter into muffin tin 3/4 full. Bake at 400 for 18-22 minutes.
