Baked Garlic Cheese Grits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. grits
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. butter
    1/2 c. milk
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    4 c. water
    1 (10 oz.) shredded extra sharp Cheddar cheese
    2 eggs, well beaten
Preparation
    In a large saucepan, bring 4 cups of water and salt to a boil. Stir in grits slowly.
    Return to boil, then reduce heat.
    Cook slowly for 5 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Stir in shredded Cheddar cheese, butter, milk, eggs and garlic.
    Cook over low heat until cheese is melted.
