Broccoli Cheese Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. pkg. broccoli florets
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    1/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
    2 c. milk
    6 oz. cream cheese
    2 c. frozen small onions
    12 oz. Cheddar cheese (sharp)
    1/3 c. buttered bread crumbs
Preparation
    Cook broccoli as directed; drain.
    Melt margarine over low heat
    Stir in flour and salt; simmer 2 to 3 minutes.
    Gradually add milk, stirring constantly, until thickened.
    Blend in cream cheese until smooth.
    Add onions.
    Pour over broccoli; add cheese and crumbs on top.
    Bake 35 to 40 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Serve.
