English Toffee - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 T light Karo syrup
3 stick County Blend (1/2 butter and 1/2 margin)
1 c sugar
5 T water
1 c Nestle semisweet chocolate chips
Chopped nuts to garnish
Preparation

Melt butter in pan and add sugar, syrup and water.
Stir until hard crack stage (290 degrees), about 30 minutes.
Quickly pour onto cookie sheet (buttered or Teflon).
Smooth with spoon.
Melt chocolate chips and spread over top.
Sprinkle on chopped nuts. Cools quicker in refrigerator.
Break into pieces.
