Super Bowl Party Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 Tbsp. oil
    3 c. chopped onions
    6 cloves garlic
    2 green peppers, sliced thin
    4 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    3 lb. tomatoes
    3 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
    24 oz. tomato sauce
    4 1/2 Tbsp. chili powder
    3 tsp. all-purpose flour
    6 Tbsp. water
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. pepper
    3 Tbsp. cumin
    Worcestershire sauce to taste
    1 bay leaf (optional)
    Tabasco to taste
    red pepper to taste
    6 (16 oz.) cans kidney beans (undrained)
Preparation
    In a large kettle, heat the oil.
    Saute the onions, garlic and green peppers until tender.
    Add the brown beef and cook until browned, breaking up the chunks with a fork.
    Add the remaining ingredients except the beans; stir well and cover.
    Let simmer for one hour.
    Add the beans and simmer for 30 minutes.
    Remove the green pepper rings before serving.
    Add beef stock if too thick. Serves about 20 people.
