Country Fried Venison - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. venison
    3/4 c. sweet milk
    salt and pepper
    self-rising flour
    cooking oil
Preparation
    Wash steak; drain.
    Salt and pepper to taste and let stand for 15 minutes.
    Dip in milk, then dredge with flour.
    Heat cooking oil until hot.
    Place steak in pan and fry until done and brown. Drain oil, leaving a small amount in pan.
    Mix 1 cup water and 1 cup milk.
    Pour over steak and cook until thickened.
