Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. (2 c.) light brown sugar
    1/2 lb. (2 cubes) margarine
    1/2 c. light Karo
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    6 qt. popped corn
Preparation
    Put popcorn in larger roaster pan (I spray with non-stick spray).
    In saucepan, put brown sugar, margarine, Karo, salt and cream of tartar.
    Cook over medium to medium high heat, stirring constantly until hard ball stage (260\u00b0 to 264\u00b0).
    Remove from stove; add soda and stir.
    Pour over popcorn and stir until covered.
    Put into 200\u00b0 oven for 1 hour.
    Stir twice during this time.
    Dump on wax paper and separate to cool.
    Makes about 2 gallons.
