Bill Shields' Sauerkraut Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 (15 to 15 1/2 oz.) cans or pkg. sauerkraut, drained
    1 c. chopped green pepper
    1 c. chopped green onions (white and green parts)
    1 small can sliced water chestnuts
    1 small jar pimentos, chopped or sweet red pepper
    1/3 c. water
    1/3 c. oil
    2/3 c. vinegar
    1 1/4 c. sugar
Preparation
    Mix first 5 ingredients in a suitable container for storage. Bring to boil the remaining ingredients.
    Turn down and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
    Pour over vegetables.
    Mix and cool.
    Will keep for several weeks.
