Ingredients

1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1/2 c. Crisco
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. peanut butter
Preparation

In a medium bowl mix flour, soda and salt.
Break egg into a small bowl and beat until foamy.
In a large bowl cream Crisco, brown and white sugars.
Beat well.
Add beaten egg and beat well. Stir in peanut butter and vanilla.
Gradually stir in flour mixture.
Blend well.
Shape into small balls.
Flatten with a fork, making crisscross marks.
Bake approximately 10 minutes at 375\u00b0.
