Buttermilk Fried Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. buttermilk
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 (3 to 3 1/2 lb.) broiler-fryer, cut up and skinned
    1 c. self-rising flour
    1/2 tsp. ground thyme
    vegetable oil
Preparation
    Combine first 3 ingredients.
    Pour buttermilk mixture over top of chicken.
    Cover and refrigerate at least 30 minutes.
    Remove chicken from liquid.
