Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 shin-bone
    2 qt. water
    1 carrot, grated
    teacup cabbage
    4 potatoes, cut in dice
    4 or 5 ears corn, cut off
    1 tomato, cut fine
    little onion
Preparation
    Get a shin-bone.
    Put over with water.
    Get ready carrot, cabbage, potatoes, corn and tomato; boil carrot 1 hour, cabbage 1 hour, potatoes half hour, corn 20 minutes and tomatoes last, a little onion if desired.
    Season to taste and strain through the colander.
