Pineapple White Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. sour cream
    1/3 c. white corn syrup
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 c. candied pineapple, diced
    1/2 c. pecans, chopped
Preparation
    Combine sugar, sour cream, corn syrup, butter and salt.
    Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar dissolves.
    Boil, without stirring to 236\u00b0 or until a little mixture dropped into cold water forms a soft ball.
    Remove from heat and let stand 15 minutes, without stirring.
    Add vanilla. Beat until mixture starts to lose its gloss, about 8 minutes.
    Stir in pineapple and nuts.
    Pour into buttered 8-inch square pan.
    Cool and cut into squares.
    Yield:
    36 pieces or 1 1/2 pounds.
