Green Pea Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 (17 oz.) cans party green peas (LeSueur preferred)
    2 (4 oz.) cans mushrooms (stems and pieces)
    1 (4 1/2 oz.) pkg. slivered almonds
    1 small onion, minced
    pimiento strips
    1/2 c. margarine, melted
    1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. salt
    4 c. milk
Preparation
    Make white sauce by combining margarine, flour, salt and milk. Cook over medium heat until thickened. Drain peas and mushrooms. Place in 9 x 13-inch casserole with onion and almonds. Pour sauce over peas. Garnish with pimiento strips. Bake at 300\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
