Spiced Carrot Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    2 c. chopped pecans, divided
    1 pkg. cream cheese, softened
    1 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. salad oil
    2 c. finely shredded raw carrots
    1 (1 lb.) pkg. confectioners sugar
Preparation
    Sift together flour, cinnamon, baking powder and salt.
    In a large bowl of an electric mixer, beat sugar and salad oil for 2 minutes.
    Beat in one egg at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition.
    Add flour mixture, beating just until blended.
    Mix in carrots and 1 cup of the pecans.
    Pour into two greased waxed paper lined 9-inch cake pans.
    Bake in preheated oven at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
