Grandmother'S Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 c. applesauce
1 c. raisins
1 c. chopped walnuts
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda, dissolved in a little water
pinch of salt
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/4 tsp. ginger or cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon

Preparation

Mix all together in one bowl.
Pour into tube pan that has been greased and floured.
Bake in a 250\u00b0 to 300\u00b0 oven at least 1 hour or until it comes from the sides a little.
Can be made ahead and freezes well for holidays.
