Peanut Butter - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. Karo (white)
    3/4 c. water
    1 lb. raw peanuts
    4 tsp. oleo
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. soda
Preparation
    Stir the sugar, Karo and water continually to hard boil, then add the peanuts.
    Keep stirring to 260\u00b0.
    Add the oleo and cook to 290\u00b0.
    Take off heat and add the salt and soda.
    Let raise in pan a few seconds.
    Pour over buttered foil and stretch to put into shape.
