Cherry Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. water
    cherry pie filling
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. cherry gelatin
    1 (16 oz.) can crushed pineapple
    1 (6 oz.) bottle cola
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Add water to pie filling and boil 5 minutes.
    Add box of cherry gelatin while first mixture is still hot.
    Set aside to cool.
    When cool, add pineapple, chopped pecans and cola.
    Pour into dish and chill.
