Kosher Dill Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

garlic
bay leaves
mustard seed
red hot peppers or loose red peppers
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. salt
1 qt. vinegar
1 qt. water
3 Tbsp. mixed pickling spices
2 or 3 tsp. green or dried dill seed
30 to 40 cucumbers, cut in half lengthwise
Preparation

Pack cucumbers in jars.
Add to each jar the following:
2 or 3 cloves garlic, 2 bay leaves, 1/2 teaspoon mustard seed and 2 or 3 red hot peppers (or 1 teaspoon loose red peppers).
