Ingredients

1 c. butter or margarine
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond extract
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
granulated sugar
Preparation

Mix the first 5 ingredients.
Blend in flour, soda and cream of tartar.
Cover and chill for 2 to 3 hours.
Divide dough in half and roll out 3/16-inch thick on lightly floured board covered with a cloth.
Cut into shapes, sprinkle with sugar.
Bake for 7 to 8 minutes at 375\u00b0.
