Miss Lou'S Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. butter, softened
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1/8 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. buttermilk
    1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy.
    Add egg; beat well.
    Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
    Add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
    Gently stir in vanilla. Drop batter by heaping teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
    Cool. Yields 5 dozen.
