Persimmon Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg, well beaten
    1 c. persimmon pulp (ripe)
    2 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon and nutmeg
    1/2 c. raisins
    1/2 c. nuts, finely chopped
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add egg and fruit pulp; mix well. Sift flour with salt, soda and spices.
    Add to mixture.
    Fold in raisins and nuts.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet and bake 10 to 12 minutes at 375\u00b0.
