Country Chicken And Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 chicken (3 to 4 lb.)
    2 qt. water
    1 tsp. salt
    pepper to taste
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
Preparation
    Place chicken in large pot; add water, 1 teaspoon salt and pepper.
    Bring to a boil; cover and cook until tender (about 45 minutes to 1 hour). Remove chicken from broth; take chicken off bones and cut into bite size pieces.
