Bread And Butter Pickles(Must Prepare Ahead. Makes 5 Pints) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. cucumbers, sliced
    2 c. onions, sliced
    4 Tbsp. salt
    2 c. cider vinegar
    3 c. sugar
    2 tsp. celery seed
    2 tsp. turmeric
    2 sticks cinnamon
Preparation
    Place cucumbers and onions in large colander.
    Sprinkle with salt and let stand for 1 hour.
    Rinse well with cold water and drain thoroughly.
    In large pot, place cucumber and onions; add remaining ingredients.
    Bring to a boil and cook about 5 minutes. Ladle into hot sterilized jars and seal.
